Fuzhou to Quincy

I'm originally from Fuzhou, Fujian, China, and now I live in Quincy, MA-both are coastal cities. I speak Mandarin Chinese, Fuzhou dialect, a bit of Cantonese, and English.
Languages don't come easily to me-I'm a pretty slow learner. Sometimes I pause too long in a conversation because my brain (and my keyboard) are still switching between languages. But I think that challenge also makes me a better listener, and I've learned to pay close attention to how people communicate beyond just words.

Career Goals

My design journey began after an unexpected layoff. Encouraged by my parents, I tried design because the courses looked fun, but soon realized it's about more than looks. It's about creating clear, accessible, and easy-to-use experiences. Now I'm pursuing UX design to build products everyone can enjoy. Check out my work here: Portfolio Website.
